Won State!

Last night Orem beat Mount Olympus for the State Championship! By taking first place they are going to the first stage of the Pony Little League World Series in Fullerton, California (not San Jose like we thought before). This team has really come together these last few weeks and played hard, game in and game out. As a team they are hitting .433 overall and are aver ageing 11 runs per game and have only given up 3 runs per game (9 games total). They leave on Wednesday the 29th and will return on Tuesday the 4th. Depending on how they do, they could be moving on to the World Series the following weekend in Washington, Pennsylvania. Keep your eyes on the papers and on the news the next few days. The team will be meeting with the mayor of Orem next week, and the Daily Herald will be there along with KSL and FOX. The reason why there is going to be a lot of publicity, is because the Orem 9-10 year old team won state as well! Wish Orem luck as they move on in their tournament.

District Champions!

Kyle coaches the Orem City 14-15 year old Allstar baseball team. They had their first tournament (District) last week. The top 3 teams advance on to the State tournament. Not only did they make it to State but they went 4-0 in the District tournament and took home the first place trophy! The State tournament begins this Saturday in Kaysville. Once they take first place there, it's off to San Jose, California for regionals. After regionals it's the World Series!!! Good luck Orem!

Yesterday was my 22nd birthday! I really don't feel much older, other than being a mom of an almost nine month old baby. Can you believe my babe is almost nine months! I can't. Time goes by so fast! Being a mom definetley makes you a lot wiser, and wider!

So what did I do for my birthday? Well, we drove home Friday night from spending a whole week in Sacramento, California, after visiting Kyle's Family. So one of the days, Kyle's Dad took us to San Francisco! It was my very first time in the big city. It was awesome! So much to do and see! I loved it! Another day, Kyle's Mom took us to Six Flags! SOOO fun! I have never been on those crazy roller coasters before! They definitely make you dizzy when you get off.

Thank you to Grandma Sondra and Aunt Keely for letting us stay with you! Sorry for kicking you out of your room Andrew! We loved visiting with you guys!

Thank you Grandpa Kevin and Kim for letting us hang out with you guys! One of the reasons we went to Cali was to surprise Grandpa Kevin for his birthday. His birthday was friday, and when we showed up for his birthday party on Saturday, he was stunned! He had no idea! Thank you everyone for keeping it a secret!

Thank you Grandma Teresa for everything! We loved that we got to spend time with you and Uncle Kris! We love you too Auntie Courtney! We were sad you couldn't come to Six Flags! Thank you Kris for the monkey you got for Addie. She loves it!

Thank you Grandma Polly for the birthday gift! I love it! Also Aunt Susie for the awesome birthday plant. I hope I don't kill it too soon!
